I do think that Powder brings the best of both worlds together in one simple to use app, although it is growing fast and I always think the next version is two times better then the previous one. My target was to try to create a cross-platform hybrid between a torrent client and a player, that would be easy to use by regular users but also have all the juicy features that most power users expect from an advanced player. Having a lot of knowledge of VLC from working with it intensely on many different projects, I decided to give making a little player of my own a go.
